The 1931 monument (sculptor A. Aleksandravičius) commemorates Tomas Ferdinandas Žilinskas, a distinguished educator and one of the most influential figures in the history of the Veiveriai Teachers’ Seminary. His work helped transform the seminary into a major center of Lithuanian education and cultural identity in the 19th century, preparing generations of teachers who shaped the nation’s intellectual life. Today, the monument stands beside the Tomas Žilinskas Gymnasium, symbolically continuing his mission to nurture learning, civic spirit, and Lithuanian identity.
