On Paneriai Street, right next to where the Jonava Manor used to be in the 18th and 19th centuries, there is a stone memorial dedicated to the memory of the slain partisans. In 2018, on the occasion of the centenary of the restoration of independence of the Lithuanian state, a stele with a Vytis was erected next to the memorial. The memorial consists of a column strung with two allegorical shackles, symbolising the painful loss of independence. The upward-pointing mast is like Lithuania's road to freedom. The Vytis at the top represents Lithuania's statehood.
