The sculpture dedicated to 100 years of basketball in Marijampolė and the 15th anniversary of MKML symbolizes the history and growth of the city’s basketball community. It highlights long-standing local basketball traditions, the involvement of young players, and the meaningful contribution of the amateur league to the region’s sports culture. The sculpture serves as a visual landmark commemorating these important anniversaries and reflecting Marijampolė’s basketball journey from its early beginnings to today’s active and united community.
