Beekeeping museum in Lithuania is located in the northwestern part of Aukštaitija National Park, on the outskirts of Minčia forest, in the oldest village in National Park - Stripeikiai, which was first mentioned in the Livonian chronicles in 1357. Its farmstead and outdoor museum expositions are located on two picturesque hills, that are separated by the Tauragna stream, fed from the deepest lake in Lithuania - Tauragnas. On the slopes of the hill, where the ancient hives are located, you can visit the statue of the Babilas, who is the ancient Lithuanian god of bees. In the ancient house visitors can familiarize with the history of beekeeping in Lithuania, ways the bee keepers protected bee's from bears, who used to live in Minčia forest. In the old barn building exhibitions of national artists are held, in the third building, which used to be outbuilding, the works of beekeeper's and carpentry's, their tools, antique trinkets are exhibited. After seeing the exhibits, go down to the stream, where the arbors are arranged, try honey brought by bee's and wash the summer sweat under the waterfall.

On the other side the Tauragna river, stands little barn for goddess of bee's - Austėja, where visitors can smell the aroma of summer herbs, visited by bee's. Near barn stands an ancient Lithuanian altar on which the holy fire is burned to honor the goddess Gabija during the holidays of the museum. Here you can also admire four magnificent oak sculptures depicting myths of four nations, including Lithuanians. They tell the visitors the spiritual experience of humankind, the origin of beekeepers, bees, nectarines. On the hill of linden trees are fun suggestions for families - invitating to fly on a swings, play in a honeycomb shaped sandbox, to enjoy natural therapy in the hammocks under the linden trees and friendly conversations in the gazebos.
