At the end of the Silver Maple Alley, we find the white Gelgaudiškis Manor in Neo-Classical style. Perpetuated in the film "Tadas Blinda", it has become even more magnificent today. In the fore-part of the palace facade there are pillars decorated with balusters and metal works, which give entry to all visitors of the manor. From that point you can walk around wherever you wish: either to sneak into the chambers ladies and men or trod further to the office, the greenhouse, the tower with a carillon or the park. What would you like to see first?

Let's begin with the inside. Spring seems to have come to the right wing of the manor, since the masterpieces of secession open up. It is the side of women, where buds burst and flowers blossom both in vases and the ceilings. The left wing for men is dominated by fruit motifs which symbolise activity and results. And the inhabitants of the palace meet in the lobby of the manor: the ladies link their arms to misters and are accompanied by to the terrace, which makes a perfect place to view the huge old park of 118 ha area, which is one of the largest parks in Lithuania.

The oak alley are replaced by spruces, chestnuts, larches, and the hounding of the hunters’ horn is still echoing in the depths of the park. While strolling across the park we can find the Star - it is the forest paths chopped in eight directions. One will takes to the slopes of the Nemunas, another one takes to the romantic ponds, the remaining ones go to the Devil's Hill (Lith. Velnio kalnas) and the grave of Asesor enveloped by a tragic love story.

The ponds instantly take us to the romantic past, when young people in love used to catch each other and give with a kiss on the Footbridge of Kisses (Lith. Pasibučiavimų lieptelis). However, not all love stories that arose in Gelgaudiškis Manor Park ended "happily ever after". The place of the Assessor’s grave reminds a tragic story, when a nobleman misfortunately fell in love with a serf girl and killed himself unable to live without her love.

Crossing the silver maple alleys step by step and leaving the strict geometric structure of the park behind, we move to the wood of the Nemunas slopes. The observation deck takes your breath away. How beautiful Lithuania is! Yet the surprises of nature are still awaiting. A little further, the park ends with a picturesque valley of Šilupė and the legendary Devil's Hill. In the presence of a strong wind we can still hear the bustle of devils banquet from the mountain. All you need is listen to it.
