Defensive building built by the Soviet army in 1940–1941 m. The building is made of concrete, it is of an octagonal shape, deeply laid into the ground. The Molotov line consisted of 4 fortification districts: Telšiai, Šiauliai, Kaunas and Alytus. Šilalė district belonged to Šiauliai district, which consisted of 6 fortification points. The line stretches from Pajūris (Silalė district) to Jurbarkas – about 90 km in total.
