Anykščiai Forest’s Wooden Sculpture Park opens a world of imagination and craftsmanship, crowned by its most striking creation - the world’s tallest wooden sculpture, "Eglė, Queen of Serpents.” Built in 2023, this 25.11-meter-tall oak monument, crafted by Valerijus Kunigelis, Virginijus Tarulis, and Deividas Tarulis, is officially recognized by Guinness World Records. The sculpture is assembled from eight separate pieces using no metal at all - only wooden pegs and glue - making it exceptional not only for its height but also for its traditional construction technique.
The park is also home to the Path of the Past, a 500-meter circular route featuring around 20 sculptures by Valerijus Kunigelis. These works are known for their lifelike forms, impressive proportions, and the artist’s boundless imagination. The trail includes direction signs, informational stands, and benches decorated with carved details. Just 100 meters from the route begins the Anykščiai Forest barefoot trail, offering another way to explore the surrounding nature.
