Not only the cozy church next to the forest but also the newly built Viešvilė Lourdes grotto invites you to pray and find spiritual peace in Viešvilė. As Kęstutis Pajaujis, a priest of Viešvilė himself, presents, this place attracts believers to pray, wedding photographers, mothers who want blessings for their children.

Viešvilė Lourdes was built on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the first appearance of St. Mary, he is also dedicated to the centenary of Lithuania.

Through the efforts of the priest and the community, Lourdes was built from the newly reconstructed and paved streets of the town, especially the sidewalks. When the streets of the town started to be tidied up, real cultural layers opened up – a stone crack reminiscent of German times appeared under the road surface. All these stones traveled to the site near the church and to Lourdes.
