In 2011, an observation wheel was opened – an architectural structure without analogs in Lithuania. Passing through the 17-meter-high wheel, a panoramic view of Lake Zarasas unfolds. Descending the stairs, one can stroll along the lakeshore path or comfortably sit on benches and enjoy the landscape of the water reservoir. The architect of the structure is Š. Kiaunė.

The 1.4 km-long shoreline of Lake Zarasas connects the observation wheel and the Great Island of Lake Zarasas. During the warm months, residents of Zarasai and city guests are delighted by the fountain, Pantone-colored stairs, a boat rental point (where visitors can rent rollerblades and bicycles for land-based exploration), and a playground for children along the shore. A sculpture park has been initiated on the shoreline. The shore of Lake Zarasas can be visited throughout the year.
