Located in Paežerėliai, a remote place from the town, we enjoy the beauty of the 150-year-old wooden St. Guardian Angels Church. Local elders remember another church, which stood in Krūkai in the third decade of the 20th century. the Kriukas, who stood in the 1990s. It was a prayer house of the Mariavites the community of which did not recognise the celibacy, confession, worship of relics and ecclesiastical punishment, whereas women. Unfortunately, the life of these believers was not sweet, they were persecuted by the Catholics, and after the Second World War the community eventually ceased to exist.
While travelling further we continue to reach Žemoji Panemunė Mound. The view from it is simply breathtaking with the Nemunas, the king of the Lithuanian rivers, beneath your legs, and the long-lived trees soughing in the horizon. However, this mound does not just reveal the extraordinary landscape. Local residents are still telling about the mysterious underground tunnels located next to Žemoji Panemunė Mound, which connect the Nemunas and Žemoji Panemunė Manor.
Let's move to the world of fantasy and turn to the "Hill of Beetles", which makes a child’s wish to appear in a favourite fairy tale come true. this place houses the characters of the tales created by the writer Vytautas Tamulaitis.
