Planting of Tow Garden, which is located int he very centre of Alytus and is famous for its roses, was started in the fourth decade of previous century. The interwar fountain with a small pool where goldfish used to swim and water lilies used to bloom remains up until these days. European conifer (Taxus baccata) which is rare plant in Lithuania, can be found here. japanese magnolia nearby the fountain enlightens the eyes with its white blossoms in spring. There are 55 kinds of trees and bushes in the garden. Town garden interflows with Resort Park. They are united by the Square of Liberty Angel.
