The music emanating from Jurbarkas Manor House announces there is a festival in the stylish Vasilchikov Residence. The wealthy Dukes have summoned the entire aristocracy to their sumptuous palace. They are impressive, whereas the environs of the Manor are breathtaking.

The bank of the Mituva River, the pine forest, the vast meadow: it makes one wish to flee from the festive table to look round the area of this palace. want to dip faster from the festive table and explore the area of this palace. There are two wing buildings that shelter next to the palace of the Manor: the servants live in the south wing, and the guests of the Manor hosts rest in the luxurious rooms in the north wing.

A bit further from the main part of the palace, there is an ornate orthodox church surrounded by trees and a palace park stretching behind, segregated from the eyes of strangers with a high fence of red bricks. In the West we can see the forester house: an office and other auxiliary buildings.Besides these buildings there was a brick stable, a shelter for postal crews, a forge, an ice house, a woodshed, a house for the blacksmith, barns, a drying barn, an animal stable, a mill, a bathhouse, and the brick vodka warehouse was reconstructed to a n orthodox church.

Over time, they were repeatedly rebuilt. In 1903 a sizeable building of a Watermill emerged next to the Mituva Bridge. It was a place where operated a sawmill, a wool carding workshop and spinning workshop. Nearby the Vasilchikov family had also built the first power plant in Jurbarkas. Unfortunately, these are just memories of the flamboyant life of the nobles. The Vasilchikov Residence was destroyed at the end of the First World War.

Today, instead of the former Palace, there is a portico of four columns, resembling the majesty of the Palace, while the Manor wing buildings that have survived now accommodate Jurbarkas Tourism and Business Information Centre and Jurbarkas Region Museum; in the former Manor Office there is a Memorial Museum of Vincas Grybas, a great Lithuanian sculptor. However, as in the time of Dukes, the bustle in the park refuses to fall silent up till now. And while walking on the newly paved paths of the park, you will notice the change of their surface: this is how the places of former buildings are marked. The area of the park is open to all residents of Jurbarkas and city guests; this is the place where different festivals are held. Let the future generations keep walking across the green park alleys for a long time.
