The Nemunas Embankment in Birštonas is a pedestrian and cycling path approximately 2 km long, stretching along the Nemunas River in Birštonas. Constructed in the 1970s to protect the resort town from flooding, the embankment has become the town's main promenade, connecting Vytautas Hill and Vytautas Jurgis Meška Park.
The embankment features benches for resting inviting visitors to enjoy the serene flow of the river. The microclimate along the embankment is unique: depending on the season, visitors can experience the scents of blooming flowers and trees. The path is illuminated in the evening, making it suitable for strolls at any time of day.
It is an excellent destination for both active leisure and peaceful relaxation, offering stunning views of the Nemunas River and the charming atmosphere of the Birštonas resort.
