The Chapel of the Konazewski family with a burial cellar, also called the Chapel of Punžonys was built during the interwar period to the east from the Punžemis lake. Construction of the chapel was initiated by the General Daniel Konazewski.
The Chapel demonstrates eclectic style with the prevailing neoclassicist stylistics. The building has a rectangular floor plan, compact volume, single-nave, and has a burial cellar. Around 1961 Punžonys Manor House burnt down and the remotely built chapel remained until the present day. However, the burial vaults were robbed on repeated occasions.
For a long time the chapel had been abandoned and only in 1992, when some of the wooden roof constructions have been replaced. This seemed not enough and in 2015 the chapel mausoleum of the Konazewski family was renovated and was discovered in a completely new light.
